A proper cup of coffee!

This morning I found this brilliant video in my inbox and I thought I would share it....

Anyone who knows me will know that I am a militant coffee addict.  A day that hasn't be started with a large cup of the black stuff is a very bad day for everyone involved.
It's probably not a healthy sign that I now get grouchy and irritable if I cant have my morning cup, and lately I've even been getting the odd headache if I abstain.  I cant handle the real world anymore without having coffee first. Without that pleasant rush of caffeine past my ears I’m just not worth knowing, and I’m defiantly not worth talking to.   But I love it too much to give it up, I am very happily addicted.  Now that cigarettes don’t feel as good to smoke as they did last year and alcohol just bores me, I need one decent vice that’s easy to get hold of and that isn’t as antisocial as crack.

Jelly Shoooze!

It has been a fair old while since I last posted, I have been rushed off my feet with Uni Projects and deadlines. But today the sun is shining, the police cars are merrily screaming past outside my window and I have just had my first lie-in in over two weeks, its time to get this thing moving again.
A few weeks ago I was researching a footwear project and properly discovered the Melissa jelly shoes range, I think I'm officially in love. They are AMAZING! And I want some very badly.  I've been gazing  covetously at the website ever since, although unfortunatly thay dont have a UK webshop up yet, its only a matter of time and I'm rubbing my paws together in gleeful anticipation of the magic day when its up and running, my bank card on the other hand is weeping into my wallet at the prospect.

Maybe its the seamlessness of the vinyl shine finish, but I just think that these shoes are sex in plastic form and the Zaha Hadid sandals at the top have had me drooling ever since.  Now thats real architecture for the feet.  The only thing that puts me off digging deeper into my over draft for these shoes is that they are bubblegum scented, and in shoes that’s just wrong! I don’t want my feet smelling all pink and synthetic, minty I could get past but bubblegum? Oh well I really don’t care that much, these babys are sexy and seamless and that’s all that matters.
I also totally love the styling in the model shot, I’m all about the kinda hippy modern rave look at the moment; I would possibly kill for the Rubik’s cube necklace too that thing is cool!

Halloween

I've had a mixed bag of a Halloween week, I went out with my swim team on Wednesday and ended up having an epic night, and then went out with my flat mates last night and it was a bit of a let down.  I spent too long trying to see all the people I could and trying to go where people wanted me to be that I ended up having a rubbish night.  It didn't help that I got confused about club names and forgot that Chase and Status were playing at our student union too, so an epic fail on my part.  I think learning that if you try and please everyone you muck up everything for yourself.

Yesterday I took myself to Nottingham

As the title implies yesterday I took myself off to Nottingham to get some images for a project, I had a surprisingly good day considering I have never been there before in my life. Although a warning to anyone who may consider going to Nottingham on a Monday to see museums and stuff – don’t- they are all shut! I trekked all over the city and found all things disappointingly closed until Tuesday. Fortunately it wasn’t a huge loss, the train journey is cheap and short, and I still got a large amount of photographs around the town some of which you can see.
I also paid a visit to American Apparel, one of my favourite shops ever!  In order get half my Halloween costume, I'm all about my shiny new black body suit, although I have since lost the bloody thing!  It's probably under my bed or something, oh well....

I heart surf photography......

Although the size of those beasts scares me just looking at them. I can only imagine the rush you would get from dropping in on one of those bad boys.
I've also been checking out some of the flickr pages trying to get a bit of a watery fix and found this beast. Nice and glassy although it looks like its about to dump on the guys head.
Missing the sea today, aspecialy with this midlands murky autumn weather I can see out my window.

A new day, some new pictures.

A little reminder of summertime. It wont be back again for a rather long time now, so look long and hard, the days of sunshine and green are done. Time for the grey and orange murk of English autumn.
